Wicked Wahine
Soul Bowl
November - My signature Power Skate Shoes are now available online in the USA. They have been selling really, really well internationally and girls are loving them! You can check them out and purchase them on: www.power-skate.com

Nov. 19th - I went to a Thrasher Magazine Party in San Francisco. It was a fund raising rager to get money for Boarder Town, a skateboard park underneath a bridge in Oakland, CA. I heard it's going to be like Burnside or Washington St. They have a cool vert ramp inside the Thrasher warehouse that I skated with a bunch of dudes. Tony Trujullio was there killing the vert ramp when ever he took a run. It was a fun night of beer and skating!

Nov. 16th - We skated a killer pool outside of Folsom. This guy Curtis built a pool for skating in his backyard. A bit of heaven on earth! This thing was awesome and only 3 weeks old. I was the first girl to crisen the pool! Got a nice swell-bow too. Never had one like this before! Pretty eh?!?

Nov. 13th -14th - I stayed with Allan and Lexi in Folsom. We skated their home turf, the Folsom Skatepark. Wow, this park is sick! Lexi and Allan live right across the street, literally. I'm talking this park has everything. Some street, mini bowl, big bowl, and hips everywhere. I don't know when Lexi or her brother's find time to do homework. Oh yeah, I guess when they turn the lights out. This park is a keeper!

Since I'm in NorCal, I decided to stay for a bit to skate with Lexi and Allan. On Saturday Nov. 12th, after the opening we went and skated the Fairfield park. That place is fun. Lot's of graffiti, hips, with fun bowls, and roll ins all over.

Nov. 12th - I went to the Grand Opening of a skateboard park in my hometown, Walnut Creek, CA. It was so cool to see a skate park go up in my hood. My Mom has lived in the same house since before I was born. I was delivered by Dr. Sherrill at Kaiser Hospital in Downtown Walnut Creek, and he continued to take care of me till I was 18 years old and they finally kicked me out of pediatrics. Dang, I loved those small chairs and Highlights...Oh well!

The day went great. Lexi Barclay and her Dad, Allan, came to skate the opening with me. The major was there along with everybody that worked so hard to raise money and get the park built. The local skate shop Metro had a booth along with Copelands Sports. There were raffles and we had a bunch of Cool Girl Skateboard pins and posters to give out. There were lots of kids skating and spectators as well. They gave out free pizza, sunglasses and hats. It's cool that skateboard parks are popping up everywhere now a days. Skateboarding's the best!

Oct. 21-23 was the last World Cup Skateboard event of the year. The GvR, Goofy Vs. Regular, event at the Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, California.

Sept. 24-25, was the Tim Brauch Memorial Contest in Scotts Valley, CA. It is a memorial skateboard park for one of the best professional skateboarders of his time, Tim Brauch. This was the first time I had the chance to go to the event and it was great. I met his family also, and they were so positive and loving to all. It is a very special event!

Sept. 17th, was the WICKED WAHINE event at the Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, CA. This was the last Wahine contest of the year. Check out the story!

Aug. 4th-7th - X Games XI, at the LA Staples Center and Home Depot Center, was off the hook!

July - I modeled some hip Vintage Vantage shirts for the company on GlitterGrrrls.com. They are really comfy and cute! Check them out.

July 29th-31st - World Cup Soul Bowl/US Open of Surfing Contest in Huntington Beach, CA. This was the first year ever to have a team challenge. This is where the girls, pros, masters, and grand masters skate together as a team. Four teams of eight riders. Read more!

June 25th & 26th - Wicked Wahine Bowl contest in Cuatro Casas, Mexico. Viva Mexico!! That was a crazy drive...

May 15th - I got a job to do some TV work. I worked form 8:30AM to 1AM as the pro athlete co-host for a pilot kids reality based competition show called "The Cage". It's where 2 teams of 3 go against each other to customize and modify a razor scooter to hold a surfboard and a 10 lb. bag of gear. They drew plans, found parts, welded, spray painted, and more. It was really fun!

May 14th - Pro Tec Pool Party in the Combi Bowl at Vans in Orange, CA. This was the first World Cup Contest of summer 2005, and it was fun!!!!! I think the best part of the contest was the couple weeks of practice leading up to the contest. Just skating with everybody who's anybody in bowl skateboarding was there. I'm talking all the legends and pioneers of skateboarding were either there or competed, and the energy has never been so good, so pure. It went off! It was an invite only event, and there were 11 of us. It was noted to be the best girls event to date. I placed 5th. It was a major snake session, and super fun. The combi is huge. There are the results and a story on: www.wcsk8.com

April 30th, Skated in the Basic Bowl contest in Huntington Beach, CA. It was a fun backyard bowl contest with bands, mohawks and mosh pits. Everybody was charging, and I was happy to place 1st in the girls division.

April 2005, At the beginning of April, I went on a skateboard trip to Arizona with Cara-Beth Burnside, Mimi Knoop, and Kim Petersen. We started off from Encinitas and went directly to Palm Springs to skate the Park there. We met up with Jen O'Brien. The park has lights, so we got a good session in before we found a hotel for the night.

The next day was spent driving to Phoenix, 'cause we got a late start. Once we arrived, we wanted to check in to our hotel first. We called ahead to make a reservation. When we arrived, the girl who had taken our reservation had left, and they didn't have us listed. The hotel was also a different cost than what we were told. We left to find another hotel, and realized we had driven over a nail and had a flat tire. It was getting late, yet Tony our cameraman and driver knew how to fix a flat. Now we had to find a car part store. Time went on and we never got the chance to skate that day, but everything got fixed and we found a cool hotel to stay at. It remained our home base for the rest our time in AZ.

We met up with Brian Fick, Craig Whitehead, and Chris Livingston, a really cool ex-pro skater that brought us to some fun places to skate. Everyday was hot, but fun. We skated the Tempi park, Peoria, Chandler, the Veggie bowl, and some other places. A girl named Cressy has a gnarly bowl in her backyard. We skated there, and she killed the place.

There was this kid who had a launch ramp on the sidewalk, in a random neighborhood we were driving through. It was so Napoleon Dynamite. The kid aired the ramp on this huge for his body, bicycle. It looked sketchy every time, but he always made it. It was classic.

We hot tubed and swam at our hotel every night, it was tropical. Arizona is cool. The last day I went to Sedonia with two of the guys. We went on a really cool hike, and they have a fun skate park there too. Tony filmed us for a show called "GKA" on Fuel TV, and Brian took photos for SG magazine. We all could have stayed longer!
